Welcome to Rahoy Estate - Self Catering Holidays on the West Coast of Scotland

Rahoy is a very special place that the 21st Century world has touched only lightly. It is, at one and the same time, remote and tranquil, yet accessible by road and just a day’s journey from the UK’s major cities.
There is no mobile phone signal and only limited internet, so you really can leave it all behind.
Dogs Welcome. The estate comprises 3 cottages (each sleeping 4) and a new contemporary house 'Caorann' which sleeps up to 8 people.

Short Term Lets Licence - Number: HI-40169-F

Hillwalkers can enjoy the splendid views out to the outer isles from the top of Beinn Ghormaig, or walk over to the National Nature Reserve at Glen Crippesdale. There are ruined villages to explore, along with a vitrified fort and chambered cairn.

There is abundant wildlife, some of which may come and call on you during your stay and unspoilt ancient woodlands in which to wander. The sea is just across the estate road from the cottages, so feel free to bring your own boat or canoe. We are happy to assist with launching and recovery and to pass on information on tides and weather.

If you wish, you can hire a boat by the day or week from Ardnamurchan Charters, at Laga Bay and they also run trips out to the islands and for sea angling.

There are plenty of opportunities for cycling and mountain biking, with an extensive network of trails in the forests on the far side of the loch. Bicycles can be rented from Strontian Cycles and delivered to your cottage.

The village of Lochaline has a restaurant and a pub, serving local produce and a well stocked shop , who will deliver on a Saturday, ready for your arrival.

The Isle of Mull is a 15 minute ferry ride from Lochaline with it’s picturesque town of Tobermory and sleepy villages.
Iona and Staffa can be easily reached from Fionnphort, at the South Western tip.
